Question

What kind of precautions are there for using the K2CM Motor Protective Relay in an inverter circuit?


Answer


Mount the K2CM on the secondary side of the inverter, as shown below, and turn OFF the reverse-phase switch.

Note: Be sure to insert the K2CM on the inverter's secondary side (the load side).

* There is a possibility that an error will occur in the operating value due to the inverter specifications or settings. Test operation first, then make the setting.

* The application conditions will depend on the length of the load-side wiring, the inverter carrier frequency, the basic frequency, and the load condition. The various conditions may cause an error in the operating value of the overload element. It is recommended that an operating test be done before actual use.
