OMRON Japan's Earthquake Crisis Information Update
MARCH 16, 2010 (Japan) - Omron Japan have confirmed that no Omron staff members in the affected area were harmed. They are still working to get a clear picture of conditions in the affected areas and are also working to confirm the safety and well-being of the relatives of Omron staff. We will take all possible measures to assure their safety.
Luckily there has only been limited damage to Omron bases and facilities and these will all be fully operational once the condition of mass transport and electrical infrastructure has improved.
In addition, as Omron Group's major production facilities are located outside the disaster area, the direct effects of the disaster on production will be minor.
However there are a large number of Omron suppliers in the disaster area and we are working to assess the situation. We will contact you as soon as possible if we foresee any significant impact on production or supply.
